Waterproofing of Wet Areas

It is especially important to perform problem and flawless insulation of wet areas such as restrooms, shower areas, WC, kitchens, laundry, Turkish bath and bathrooms in buildings where service is rendered uninterruptedly such as hotels, shopping malls and business centres. Elastomeric resin-based waterproofing is generally performed on wet areas. KÖSTER BD 50 elastomeric resin-based waterproofing product is applied on surfaces such as plaster, screed and lined sheetrock with brush or roller. After it cures in a short time (without the need for plaster or similar application) tile application is done on it.

As a more economical alternative, cement-based products can also be applied. These types of products consist of powder and liquid components and turn into a mortar with an applicable consistency after being mixed with water in construction site environment. KÖSTER 2K Flex and KOSTER NB Elastic 2K products are cement-based products that are preferred in waterproofing of wet areas.
